Design and Features    
Compatibility: Specifically sized to carry the 1958 Pattern Water Bottle and the nesting plastic or metal (Crusader) mug.

Closure Options: Depending on the year of manufacture, these feature either a Spanish Tab (a pull-and-lift plastic buckle) or a standard ITW Nexus Quick Release (QR) buckle.  Most versions also have a Velcro secondary closure that can be "silenced" by folding a tab over it.

Internal Pockets: Inside the lid, there is often a small pocket designed for water purification tablets.  Some versions also have an internal sleeve to separate the cup from the bottle or to hold a survival tin.

Attachment System: Instead of MOLLE straps, the back features a large belt loop and the distinctive PLCE plastic T-bars.  These T-bars are used to lock the pouch onto the PLCE belt to prevent it from sliding left or right during movement.

Durability: The pouch is extremely rugged and includes a metal drainage grommet at the bottom.  The internal waterproof lining helps protect the rest of your gear from "sweating" bottles or minor leaks.
