Key Differences: PLCE vs. Osprey
It is important to note the difference between this and the other pouches we sell;

1. Mounting: This pouch is designed for belt-mounted webbing, whereas the Osprey pouches are for MOLLE vests;
2. Bulk: Because it hangs from the waist, it is much deeper and holds more gear than the slim-profile plate carrier pouches;
3. Versatility: This is often called a "Universal" pouch because its size allows it to be used as a small utility pouch if ammunition is not being carried.

Specifications

Design and Features    
This pouch is noticeably larger and more robust than the Osprey variants because it is intended to be a standalone "fighting" pouch on a belt kit.

High Capacity: It is designed to carry multiple 5.56mm magazines. Typically, soldiers carry two magazines for easy extraction, but it can accommodate three if packed tightly.

Closure System: It features the standard British "Spanish Fly" (ITW Nexus) quick-release buckle. This is a plastic pull-tab system that is nearly silent compared to Velcro and can be operated easily with cold or gloved hands. It also contains internal Velcro for secondary security.

Attachment Method: Unlike MOLLE, this uses the PLCE T-bar and belt loop system. It has two heavy-duty straps on the rear that wrap around a 58mm webbing belt and hook into the yoke (harness) to distribute weight to the shoulders.

Waterproof Lining: The interior usually features a high-visibility, waterproof PU coating to protect ammunition and keep the pouch's structure rigid.

Drainage: Features twin metal drainage grommets at the base.
